Super Late Model Star Donny Reuvers expanded his
motorsports business enterprises by becoming the
new co-owner/promoter at Raceway Park home of
the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series in Shakopee
where he's won his share of track championships
and ASA Midwest tour events.
" My
motorsports business partner Pat Remick and I
had been talking to John Hellendrung, owner of
Raceway Park, about purchasing the track,"
said Reuvers. We wanted to have a home base for
the Short Track Racing Experience so we could
cut costs and keep our fees the same as they were
in 2006. We put the deal together last fall and
now we're getting ready for the upcoming season
which opens in late April."
"John
has been a huge help to us. When he formally announced
his selling of the track at the recent Raceway
Park Awards Banquet he received a standing ovation
from the 260 fans, racers, crewmembers, and track
officials in attendance. He deserved it. Our job
now is to maintain the 54 year legacy he and his
predecessors have established.
